Painting. The bad haircut.

Have just finished painting our master bedroom and am happy at last. Major undertaking (for me at least). Big walls, little roller. Much better control though. No drips. Yay! Couldn't take looking at the gray walls one more day, so since work has been slow (and when it gets slow, I sometimes paint), decided to seize the day. Now, some people would do something sensible with their time off like shopping (God knows I could use some clothes) or take a little trip, but that just won't do for me. Actually, doing a cost/benefit analysis, the paint and supplies were just over $20 and it took four days. So I really saved money. It's all about perspective; right? Just humor me. And the benefit is having a bedroom with a wall color that doesn't make me sigh. The aforementioned gray looked just great on the chip. Why are paint chips so tricky anyway? This color, Dune, was recommended by our neighbor. I saw it on his walls, so didn't have to reinvent the wheel. Now I just need some new pictures for the walls...

Got a bad haircut today. I miss Michael. He cut my hair for years. He moved to the desert a few months ago. Against my better judgement, out of desperation, I went to one of those chain salons. I even brought a picture with me of a cute hairstyle that should have been very do-able with the way my hair had grown out. Ugh. Not even close. And all my highlights are gone so my hair is very mousy now. Now, Michael is 120 miles away. Husband thinks it's ridiculous to drive out all that way for a haircut (especially with the price of gas), but I'm thinking... I miss you, Michael!
